Summer Camps – Naas

Motor Coordination Camp

Dates: Tuesday 19th – Friday 22nd July

Times: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m

This camp is aimed specifically at helping your child to develop and improve their motor – coordination skills through a fun and active camp-based programme with other children.  In the camp, we will organise a series of motor-coordination-based activities under Occupational Therapist supervision, together with a variety of fun activities to promote social interaction.  We will have two OTs and volunteer assistants to provide a fun and safe environment.

The cost of the camp is € 160.00 and numbers are strictly limited.

 

Handwriting Heroes Camp:

Dates: Tuesday 26th – Friday 29th July

Times: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m

This is a specific hand-writing programme run by our Occupational Therapists in which primary school students have the opportunity to strengthen and further develop their handwriting skills. Our therapists work on the following areas as required by each child:

  • Postural awareness
  • Visual-perceptual skills
  • Upper limb strength
  • Fine and gross motor skills
  • Letter sizing
  • Spacing and levelling
  • Pencil pressure
  • Letter formation
  • Accuracy and fluency

Don’t worry !! We will also mix in a variety of fun-filled activities to make it an enjoyable experience for all!

The cost of the camp is € 160.00 and again, numbers are limited.

 

OT Yoga Camp Groups:

Dates: Tuesday 16th – Friday 19th August

Two Groups:

Times: 10:00 – 11:00 a.m   and   11:00 – 12:00 a.m.

The Occupational Therapists of The Sunflower Clinic work with children a wide range of disability and conditions. We recognise that children with additional needs are often faced with sensory processing difficulties, motor coordination delay as well as difficulty with social skills.

Yoga is known for its unlimited benefits on the body and mind but how can yoga help your child’s learning and development?
