Shauna Sheehan – Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Shauna joined our team in 2019 and is based in Kerry 4 days and Cork 1 day per week. Shauna graduated from University College Cork with a BSc. in Occupational Therapy in 2015. She moved to the UK and worked with the Royal Free Hospital NHS in North London with a team working with children aged 4 – 19 years old. Shauna also spent time as a school-based OT and completed a number of training courses including Introduction to Sensory Integration, Postural Care Workshop, and a three day course on Feeding Difficulties and Sensory Issues. Shauna is supported by Juanita O’Regan, Senior Occupational Therapist and Emma Healy, Senior Occupational Therapist.
Muireann O’Connor – Paediatric Occupational Therapist
Muireann joined the Sunflower Clinic in 2017 and initially headed up our Kerry service, before moving to Cork this year. Muireann graduated from UCC with an Honours degree in Occupational Therapy and spent time with the Cork clinic whilst on placement. Muireann has a special love of working with younger children and has completed Sensory Integration Trialing Module level 1 and is currently working as part of our younger years team in Cork. Muireann has developed a very good working network of teachers and principals in schools in West Cork/Kerry and is our main liaison for this area. Muireann provides additional Occupational Therapy Services in the Kerry region in support of Shauna.
